Israel is considered a leading country in the manufacturing, development and research of digital printers. The roots of the industry date back to the 1970s, when Israeli companies were a global pioneering force in the field. The Israeli digital and 3D printings industry developed rapidly since 2000s. More than 70% of digital and 3D printing companies in Israel were founded in the past 18 years.

Israel ha s become a major center of knowledge in the field of digital printing, due to Its high capabilities in the fields of chemistry and mechanics, as well as the ability to integrate all aspects, from research to manufacturing, together.

Israel is the manufacturer of approximately 40% of all 3D printers worldwide.

Companies established over the last decade, such as Kornit Digital, which employs about 400 people in Israel, and Highcon and Dip Tech, each employing about 100 workers in Israel.

ISRAELI COMPANIES ACQUIRED BY MULTINATIONALS / ISRAELI COMPANIES

Companies that currently function as affiliates operating and engaged in development and production in Israel, such as HP Indigo, which employs about 2,000 people in Israel and HP Scitex, which employs about 500 people in Israel.

 

Both kinds of companies are engaged in R&D, production, marketing and worldwide export.

 

The digital printing industry was estimated at $22.18B in 2017, and is expected to reach $28.85B by 2023.
